Nice to meet you!
Hello, I’m Kate from Greedy for Colour, a blog I started back in 2008. I live on a harbourside farm in New Zealand with my husband, two sons and a menagerie of animals - some real, some imaginary and some handmade.
Like most of you who have popped in to visit me here, I am an obsessive of maker of ‘things’ and have been that way ever since I was tiny. My first memories are of making ice bowls filled with suspended flowers, embroidering bookmarks and of hours spent absorbed with scissors (in a good way), glue, glitter and paper.
These days I am very lucky because I get to play with yarn and call it work. Apart from my books, my projects have been featured (wahoo) in many publications including Mollie Makes, Simply Crochet, Taproot and Homespun to name a few.
Thank you so much for dropping by - here is a cup of tea for you. I’m sorry about the little rabbit hiding in the bottom of your cup. I forgot he was taking swimming lessons before we started chatting.
p.s. If you are wondering why there is a delicious dessert on my head, it's because I went undercover as Anna Pavlova.
